Research :
To conduct applied and strategic research on improvement and production technology of vegetablel crops To develop and identify stable quality genotypes. Refinement and development of climate resilent technologies to mitigate the vagaries of climate change. Refinement in production technology of high value low volume vegetables under open and protected conditions Efficient land management and water utilization in vegetable crops Production of quality planting material and vegetable seeds.
Extension :
Dissemination of production technology of vegetable crops through trainings, on-farm demonstrations, field visits, University village visit programme, electronic and print media.
The flagship areas :-
- The division is set up for imparting quality education with practical perspective.
- Job /entrepreneurship oriented programmes will be given priority
- The Division is committed to meet the challenges through research and development in future.
